Mark Szabo
Full-Stack Developer
I’m Mark, a software engineer with a strong passion for programming, system design, and modern AI technologies. I enjoy working across the full development stack, with a focus on web development, backend services, and experimental projects where I can combine creativity with engineering.
My academic and professional journey is closely tied to computer science and language technology. I am currently pursuing both my BSc and MSc in Computer Science at Eszterházy Károly Catholic University, while actively working in research and development roles. I’ve contributed to projects at the ELTE NYTK Language Technology Research Group, where I worked on software development and LLM benchmarking-related research, as well as at QNSZT Kft., where I focused on exploring large language models, prompt engineering, and building systems that leverage AI for real-world applications.
Beyond my formal work, I’ve always been deeply enthusiastic about programming in general. I enjoy experimenting with new technologies and building side projects just for fun — including multiplayer games and lower-level programming tasks. I have a strong foundation in languages like C and C#, and I am currently exploring C++ and Rust with great interest, especially in the context of performance-critical and systems-level development.
I’m particularly passionate about AI and everything around it. During my work and personal projects, I often explore how large language models behave, how prompts can be optimized, and how AI systems can be integrated into practical workflows. This curiosity constantly drives me to stay up to date and experiment with new approaches in the field.
In addition to development, I’ve also been active in competitive and academic environments, including winning 1st place at the OTP Bank IT Hackathon and participating in several university game jams. I enjoy challenges where I can combine logic, creativity, and fast problem solving to build something meaningful in a short time.
For me, programming is not just a profession but a long-term passion — something I explore both seriously and playfully, always aiming to improve and learn something new with every project.
